Arash has studied orchestral conducting in the Royal College of Music in Stockholm (KMH) from 2009 to 2011, primarily with Michael Bartosch, and minor of orchestral conducting in Hochschule für Musik in Basel, with Rodolfo Fischer. He was one of the selected conductors to participate in Ircam MANIFESTE-2014 to work with Ensemble Intercontemporain and Lucern Festival Academy Orchestra, under guidance of Peter Eötvös. Later working with ensemble Linea under guidance of Jean-Phillipe Wurtz, and International Ensemble Modern Academy with Susanna Mälkki.
The main emphasize of his work as conductor is on performing and improving the new music repertoire as well as working on sound/acoustical aspects of traditional classical repertoire.
Arash has conducted several ensembles and orchestras among them Ensemble Intercontemporain, Ensemble Linea, NeuverBand Ensemble, ensemble U:, ensemble Resonabilis, Chaotic Moebius Players, Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble, Namascae Lemanic Modern Ensemble and chamber orchestra of Hochschule für Musik in Basel. He is the founder, artistic director and conductor of Ensemble for New Music Tallinn and Sound Plasma festival.
